Sir Rock T - Coolin (1991 Tulsa)

Sir Rock T is an older old school rap tape outta Tulsa Oklaholma. It's got some smooth and gangsta type tracks. It features Partners N Rhyme and I'm sure other members of Cold Crush Records at that time. I've had this tape for years, thought I'd post it up.

Off Tha Corna - The Killing Is Real (1992 New Orleans)

Off Tha Corna is rapper Snake Eyez' old group from back in 1992. This shit is on some old school reality rap, it's gangster and hardcore, as alot of southern rap was at the time. Tight cover and tight release only released on tape and outta da trunk...

D-Town Funk - Clean This M-F Up (1992 Detroit)

D Town Funk outta Detroit. The name sayz it all, this is some old school detroit Funk rap, it's not really westcoast G Funk but it's got some really catchy sounds for 1992. This was only released on tape and has 3 full tracks with a clean side and an explicit side. The clean side gets no play in my house...

Dontay - The Streets Of San Fransisco (1990 Bay Area SFC)

Dontay is a rare ass tape outta tha bay, doubt many of these are still around...Not exactly my regular style of rap but this shit is the first release from the infamous old school SFC label, Bentley Records (Too Short, MC Valentine, K Cloud etc) and is hard to come by so I picked it up. Dontay was a backup dancer for MC Hammer and turned to rapping after that, funny shit.

2 Full Tracks with Radio Edits and Mixes for 5 Tracks alltogether

Deep In The Game Soundtrack (2001 West/Midwest/South Compilation)

An unknown soundtrack to an unknown DVD release, the soundtrack (and DVD) have some classic features in them though. Classic tracks with MC Breed and 2Pac as well as compilaton tracks with a solo member from the group 812 Faculty, Sang. This compilation also features some tight cutz from C-Beezy...Also a track with The Botany Boys, so this comp goes all over North America to create a really tight soundtrack for 2001.

15 Tracks (2 Bonus)

4/15/10

Seaside Posse - Playboy Chill & MC Scooter D (1991 Cali Tape)

Dope ass tape only from Seaside California, only 2 different tracks on it, but super rare and tight funky old school bay shit.

Gods Of War - Death Before Dishoner (2001 Arkansas)

Gods Of War from some unknown city in Arkansas...really good sound for 2001, it sounds like 1997 or 1998 shit, really smooth flows and gangsta lyrics, not REALLY dark, but it got that dark sound that bumps.

12 Dope Tracks

YWF Posse - WE LOVE TO ROB DOPEMEN (1990 Ohio)

YWF Posse (Yes We Fresh) from Ohio..Cool name for a tape from 1990, we love to rob dopemen, shit sounds real funny, and even the cover is funny, dope hustler on the ground jacked (you dont see that erryday..!) I dont support robbing dopemen either, I need mines! This tape has shitty quality, but has some good old school beats and a good message in the music, I like tape onlys.

4 Tracks (3 Different)

Bossman (Of Bossman & Bandit) - Straight Up G (Maxi Single) (1994 Chicago)

Bossman from the classic group from Chicago, Bossman & Bandit. Never heard the (Unreleased) remix of the straight up G song and it is dope, it really has that old school E-Mack 7 type OG G-Funk sound...I wish this had more tracks.

As far as I know this was only released on Vinyl & Tape, but I recenty found a CD version. The CD version remix has a real bad scratch in the middle of the song and all the songs have that vinyl scratchy noice in the background...I was expecting a re-mastered version on CD, but my tape has better quality.

4 Tracks (2 Different, 2 Instrumental) (1 Unreleased)

E.T.O. Clique - Unsolved Mysteries (199x Memphis)

One of my many memphis tapes as of recently, this tape comes WAY tight, and has that dark, evil, drug dealin, head bustin, unsolved mysterie no witness be found type shit.

MASTAMINDS - S/T (2001 DALLAS)

This album is a very lyrical and upbeat album for Dallas Texas. The raps aren't east coast style but more of a west coast style, shit that makes you bob your head. These dudes released an earlier EP called "All Caught Up" which is impossible to find (but the tracks from the EP are also on this CD) So this CD is a mix of southern lyrical rap from 1998-2001 Very Tight in my opinion.
